Skyblock is one of the core game modes on the Hydra Hub Network, offering players a rich, progressive island-based experience. Designed for both solo and cooperative play, Hydra Hub’s Skyblock includes custom systems, balanced gameplay mechanics, and extensive content to explore.
Overview
In Hydra Hub Skyblock, players start on a small floating island and must expand, automate, and progress using limited initial resources. The goal is to build the most advanced and resource-rich island possible using a variety of tools and systems provided by the server.
Skyblock is fully compatible with both Java and Bedrock Edition clients, supporting seamless cross-platform gameplay.
Key Features
Jobs
Players can join various in-game jobs to earn money by performing tasks like mining, farming, fishing, and slaying mobs. Job progression unlocks new perks, income bonuses, and experience multipliers.
Factories
Factories allow players to automate resource processing and generate passive income. These structures can be upgraded for increased efficiency and integrated into advanced island setups.
Balanced Economy
Hydra Hub maintains a balanced and player-driven economy, with multiple money-making methods and no pay-to-win advantages. Players can earn currency through jobs, quests, farms, auctions, and trading.
Auction House
The global auction house enables players to buy and sell items in real-time. This system supports dynamic pricing, manual listings, and bidding wars for rare items.
Custom Resource Pack
Skyblock includes an optional custom resource pack that enhances the visual experience with:
- Custom item textures
- UI improvements
- Animated effects for minions, generators, and factories
The pack is automatically prompted upon joining for Java players and is integrated via Bedrock compatibility systems.
Quests
There are over 100 unique quests in Skyblock, including:
- Island growth challenges
- Mob kill tasks
- Crafting and collection goals
- Economy-focused quests
- Time-limited event objectives
Quests provide rewards such as money, XP, minion boosts, keys, and exclusive cosmetics.
Minions
Minions are deployable workers that perform tasks like mining, farming, or mob grinding. They can be upgraded for speed and storage and are a central part of island automation and late-game progression.
Evolving Cobblestone Generators
Cobble gens on Hydra Hub are fully customized to evolve based on player progress. As players level up and unlock new tiers, generators begin producing higher-value ores such as:
- Coal → Iron → Gold → Redstone → Lapis → Diamond → Emerald → Netherite
Upgraded gens can also produce bonus drops, XP, or double-yield chances.
Island Leaderboards
Compete on the global Skyblock leaderboards by increasing your island level, wealth, and quest completion rate. Top islands are displayed in the main lobby and rewarded at the end of each season.
Island Upgrades
Players can spend in-game currency to purchase island upgrades such as:
- Size expansions
- Member slots
- Generator boosts
- Spawner limits
- Hopper & mob stacker efficiency
Upgrades are accessible via the `/is upgrade` menu and are crucial for scaling your island into an automated powerhouse.
Getting Started
To join Skyblock, use the in-game lobby NPC or type:

Players will be prompted to create an island using one of several starting templates.
